The Journey Toward Sunday

Hi everyone, I hope your week is going well. 

This week in worship since it's the week before Thanksgiving, we're going to be remembering to be grateful... and I am starting early!  Thanks to everyone who kept things running smoothly while I was out of town...  Thanks to Pastor Jeri for leading worship last Sunday...  Thanks to everyone who filled boxes for Operation Christmas Child... Thanks to everyone who helped fill baskets for Shaw Community Thanksgiving... Thanks to everyone who's helping to prepare the Family Crisis Meal this Sunday... Thanks to everyone who participated in this fall's SEEDS session (which ended last night)... Thanks to Jan and Gene for opening their home tomorrow night for Book Club... Thanks to Shirley for teaching the Adult Education course (based on Philip Yancey's book What Good Is God?) which is wrapping up this weekend... Thanks to everyone who's participating in the Christmas Presentation and especially those who are leading it (Practice is in the sanctuary 9:45-10:45 Sunday Morning)...  And, most importantly, thanks to God for working in us and through us to do great things in the world, may we always be open to what God is up to!

This Sunday we'll be reading 1 Chronicles 16:8-11 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24 in worship.  I'd encourage you to read the passages, and pray with them to prepare yourselves for Sunday.
