The Journey Toward Sunday
Hi everyone! It has been an amazing week at the Art and Music Camp here at the church! All the singing and games and art and drama have combined to make it so that things are definitely livelier than a normal week at the church. It's been fun to hear back from participants and families about their experience… One mom shared that she asked her daughter if she liked Art and Music camp… her daughter replied, "I don't like Art and Music camp… I LOVE Art and Music Camp!"
If you want to stop by and see it in action, tomorrow is the last day to do so. And for those of you who aren't able to stop by during the week, on Sunday we'll be incorporating pieces of the camp experience into the service in a variety of ways. And after the service, we'll be hosting an ice cream social to celebrate. And again, a big Thank You goes out to everyone who's been a part of planning and volunteering for camp.
Also, sadly, Sunday is the last day the Fuqua family is in town, so come to say goodbye to them as they move off to Kansas… They will be missed around here!
The scripture readings for the service can be found here. (We've used both the parable of the good Samaritan and the passage about the fruit of the Spirit during the camp this week!). I'd invite you to read through the scriptures and pray with them to prepare yourself for Sunday!
As always, if you want to look further out on the calendar, the website is a great resource. And feel free to get in touch with me regarding your hopes, dreams, and ideas for the future of UPB, or to let me know what's going on in your life.
See you on Sunday!
